COMPREHENSIVE MOTOR INSURANCE

SCOPE OF COVER

This policy provides cover against loss or damage to the insured vehicle consequent upon:

1. Loss or damage to vehicles
2. Medical expenses incurred as a result of accident involving the insured vehicles caused by accidental collision, theft, fire, and including transit risks of loading and unloading of any vehicles, its accessories and any mechanical propelled vehicles
3. Liability to third parties arising from accident involving Insured vehicles. (I, II, and III).

 This policy is of three types, namely:

1. Comprehensive
2. Third Party Fire & Theft

• Third Party only

PROPERTIES TO BE INSURED

1. The vehicle(s) are insured as Private, Commercial or Own goods.

RATE:

• Standard rate for Comprehensive    –      10% of sum insured/value of the car.
• Standard rate for Third Party Fire & Theft –     60% of (10% of value of the car)
• Third Party only

Private                               –     N5, 000.00 flat rate

Commercial                       –     T. B. A.

COMMERCIAL VEHICLE OWN GOODS:

Comprehensive                        –        11.5% of value

Private Omnibus Discount        –        12% of value less 50%

BENEFITS OF COMPREHENSIVE COVER

• Medical expenses cover for driver and any occupant of the vehicle at the time of the accident.
• Extension for the risks of riot, strike, civil commotion (RSCC)etc
• Indemnity for loss or damage for third party property damages of up to #1,000,000.00

• Compensation for third party bodily injury claim.

The following are required for premium computation;

• Type or make of vehicle
• Value of each vehicle
• Engine and chassis number
• List of vehicles indicating registration numbers
